About Me

My name is Nikko Amaya. I am thirty years old and I am from Monroe, Michigan. I am currently enrolled in The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Computer Software Technology program. I previously attended Monroe County Community College where I studied Business Management, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, and Power Plant Operations.

Regarding my experience in Information Technology, I would consider myself to be at an introductory level, however I am adamant in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to become an expert in the field. I am highly interested in learning more about the broad array of information technology sciences for my future aspirations of working with NASA. My goal is to take part in the development of automated space exploration systems which would provide a sustainable source of air, water, food, and energy for interplanetary space travel. I am also fixated on making our Earth a more environmentally civil and hospitable planet to ensure the continuity of our existence.

I am most excited about developing a higher-level understanding of IT, software, computing, and programing, as well as acquiring applicable skill sets in other areas pertaining to S.T.E.M related fields. I feel that this course and others within this program will better prepare me and assist my advancement toward my endeavors.
